Choosing the right shipping box protects your products and keeps delivery costs down. This guide covers the decisions that matter most.

Measure the product first

Measure length, width, and height, then add space for padding. A box that is too large lets items move and raises courier costs based on volume.

Pick the right wall strength

  • Single wall works for light items such as clothing and small accessories
  • Double wall suits heavier, fragile, or stacked shipments
  • Consider how many boxes will be stacked during storage

Decide on printing

Plain boxes are the most economical. Printing a logo helps with brand recognition, and is usually worth it once you ship regularly.

Order in the right quantity

Order enough for one to two months of shipments. It keeps the price per box lower without filling your storage with stock.
